Book Description

This text was created for ENGL2010: Intermediate College Writing at Weber State University, although we invite instructors everywhere to adopt it and offer feedback. Learning outcomes include:

  • Sources and Evidence: Locate, evaluate, and integrate credible and relevant evidence to achieve various writing purposes;
  • Language Awareness and Usage: Recognize and make intentional, critical, and contextually-informed language choices across a range of rhetorical contexts;
  • Recursive Writing Processes: Develop flexible, iterative, and reflective processes for invention, drafting, workshopping, editing, and revising.

We are piloting this OER and new curriculum in Fall 2025. You may see small changes during and directly after that semester.

This resource was made possible through an Open Educational Resources Grant from Weber State University with support from the Stewart Education Foundation, Stewart Library, Provost Office, and the Sally Langsdon Barefoot Foundation.
