Participating in independent undergraduate research has enriched my education and shaped my future goals. This hands-on experience has deepened my understanding of my field, allowing me to apply theoretical concepts in practical settings. Engaging in research has sharpened my critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Additionally, collaborating with the midwife participants and Dr Diener has expanded my professional network and clarified my career aspirations. Overall, this journey has equipped me with invaluable skills and insights that will guide me as I strive to make meaningful contributions to global maternal and infant health.
