Participating in the SPUR program has proved to be a positive, beneficial, and enriching experience for me. I really enjoyed working with my P.I., and all the post docs, graduate students, and other undergraduate students in my lab. First, my experience with SPUR has been impactful towards my education. Dr. Bischak’s lab has given me a deeper understanding of not only Chemistry courses I have previously taken, but ones that I have yet to take. I believe that going into my future Chemistry courses with real-world prior knowledge about specific topics will prove to be advantageous. Secondly, working in Dr. Bischak’s lab through SPUR has been impactful towards my future goals. With regards to future goals, mine are to go to graduate school. This lab has provided me with invaluable experience that I can not only put on my resume and applications, but experience that I can continuously build upon to propel me into higher education.
