Preface

Open Minds, Open Resources: The Student Perspective is an open book written and created during two undergraduates’ time spent working in the library and focusing on Open Education Resources.

This book takes place over our first academic year working at the library, and throughout it we will discuss our experiences with OER, including learning about them, creating them, advocating for them, and more. It includes resources we found and created about what OERs are, data we collected about the student experience at our university, as well as our experience speaking at a national conference about OER. We wrote this with the intention of sharing our story and creating a resource for anyone interested in learning more about the process of integrating OER into their lives.
