Step 3 of Backward Design is to plan instructional content and activities.
Course content consists of learning experiences and direct instruction that support students in their formative and summative assessments and help them achieve the learning objectives and overall course outcomes.
It is critical that instructional content and activities align with the learning objectives, course outcomes, and formative and summative assessments. Otherwise, you will likely miss your planned destination by several degrees!
