What is Expected of Me?
- You are required to set aside TWO hours each week for office hours.
- You are required to post designated office hours on your syllabus.
As a GI, one of your responsibilities, aside from preparing and teaching class on your assigned days, is to make yourself available for office hours. You are required to set aside at least two hours each week when you will be available to students for consultation. You should determine these hours at the beginning of the semester and include them in your syllabus. You are welcome to host students over Zoom during office hours. You are welcome to adjust your office hours as needed throughout the semester as long as you communicate those changes to students both orally and via Canvas announcements.
