39 Tutors

The tutors at the Writing Center are made up of both graduate and undergraduate students. First-year graduate instructors in the Composition Program lend their expertise as Writing Center tutors in their first semester of teaching, and the Writing Center Directors are guest facilitators in the Graduate Teaching Practicum, ENGL 6820. The Writing Center engages students in one-on-one peer tutoring. Tutors facilitate learning by helping students implement important concepts taught in class, asking and answering questions about the writing and research processes, and providing access to resources and continued support.
