66 Ray B. West Building Need-to-Knows

REPAIRS

If anything in your office needs repairs (paint, electrical system, heat, windows, ceiling tiles, furniture, etc.), please contact the Reception Staff Assistant in the department office via email or by visiting the main office, and they will coordinate with Facilities for any needed repairs.

SOUNDS and TEMPERATURES

As an old, historic building, RWST can make creaky sounds, and, at times, you may hear banging from the heating system. This is nothing to be alarmed about – consider it to be historic charm. At times, the temperatures in RWST can vary widely. If your office is too hot or too cold, please let the Reception Staff Assistant in the department office know via email or by visiting the main office, and they will try to assist you.

BOX ELDER BUGS

You will encounter box elder bugs in the building, especially in the spring. These bugs are harmless—they do not bite or stink. USU does its best to keep them at bay, but they are difficult to eradicate completely. You may request traps for your office from the Reception Staff Assistant in the department office via email or by visiting the main office.

POSTERS/FLIERS

If you would like to hang any posters or fliers in RWST, please contact the Reception Staff Assistant in the department office via email or by visiting the main office and bring them your materials for posting. They will ensure that the materials are posted for you.
