43 Professional Development Meetings

The purpose of professional development is to enhance the knowledge, skills, and abilities of professionals in the composition field. It provides opportunities for continuous learning and growth, helping individuals stay updated with the latest industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements. Professional development also fosters personal and career growth by improving job performance, increasing job satisfaction, and expanding career opportunities.

Professional Development occurs once a month, usually on Fridays at 1:30 in-person and over Zoom. Dates will be emailed at the beginning of the semester so you can plan ahead for those. Attending Professional Development meetings are part of your GI contract for all semesters, so you are required to attend. Because this is a required part of your employment, if you cannot attend a session, contact Beth to make alternate arrangements. You may be asked to contribute to Professional Development as part of 6820 and have the opportunity to present.
