53 Discrimination
In its programs and activities, including in admissions and employment, Utah State University does not discriminate or tolerate discrimination, including harassment, based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, status as a protected veteran, or any other status protected by University policy, Title IX, or any other federal, state, or local law.

Interim USU Policy 305 prohibits discrimination, including harassment, in USU’s programs and activities, including admissions, employment, and housing offerings.
Prohibited discrimination and harassment is treatment based on a person’s protected characteristic(s) that negatively impacts the person’s employment or educational experience. Protected characteristics include race, color, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, age (40 and older), disability, genetic information, and status as a protected veteran. Discrimination-related retaliation is also prohibited.
