12 Course Delivery Method
What is Expected of Me?
- You are required to teach your course using the delivery method assigned to a section of the course (courses assigned to GIs will almost always be in-person).
- You may NOT offer to teach your course (entirely or partially) using remote delivery methods (e.g., teaching over Zoom or asynchronously) when teaching in-person.
Your classes will ALL be in-person. This means that you should NOT offer to teach any or all of your course using one of the other delivery methods (e.g., offering class sessions over Zoom instead of in-person). Expectations established in course catalog.
You may offer to meet individually with students over Zoom for office hours. Additionally, you may (and should) offer an online asynchronous alternative on days when you must cancel class (please refer to the policy about course cancellations for more information about canceling classes).
As an instructor, it is your job to teach the course utilizing the delivery method assigned to your course section in the course catalog found in Banner. The Registrar’s Office offers several course delivery methods:
- In-Person
- Connect
- Hybrid
- Online
- Arranged
To understand the distinction between these formats, refer to the registrar’s office webpage.
