10 Helpful UVU and Online Resources
No one should have to do it alone. UVU and the local community has a variety of resources to help you as you develop your scholarly identity and then throughout your academic career. Take some time to familiarize yourself with the resources listed below.
Resources to Get You Started
Spend the most time reviewing these resources:
- myStrength: “myStrength is an online tool to help you live your best life. You’ll find help for stress, anxiety, chronic pain, and more. It’s safe, secure and personalized – just for you. Track your health, enjoy activities, and become inspired” (Teladoc Health, n.d.).
- TimelyCare provides virtual care support, 24/7, 365 days a year for UVU students. The following services are available at no cost through TimelyCare:
- TalkNow: 24/7, on-demand emotional support to talk about anything, including anxiety, relationships, depression, and school-related stressors.
- Scheduled Counseling: Choose the day, time, and mental health provider that best works for you. (9 visits per year)
- Health Coaching: Develop healthy lifestyle behaviors, including nutrition, sleep habits, time management, and mindfulness.
- Self-Care Content: Visit the Explore page within TimelyCare for guided self-care content including yoga and meditation sessions, as well as group conversations with our providers on a variety of health and well-being topics.
- If you are interested in using this resource let your professor know and they will send an email to the Dean of Students to activate a license for you.
- UVU Resources for Students & Parents: This website has all the information you need to utilize UVU’s academic & career resources, support systems, physical & mental health resources, learning assistance & tutoring, involvement opportunities, financial resources, child care, technology resources & support, and crisis hotline & treatment resources.
- Student Success Specialists: “Student Success Specialists provide personalized support by reaching out to students through text messages, phone calls, emails, and one-on-one both in person and online. They help guide students through barriers or questions they have about how to navigate university processes and resources. They also help students develop strategies that will help them succeed from their first-year to graduation” (UVU n.d.).
