Faculty Mentor: Andrew Roberts (Chemistry, University of Utah)
My Research under Andrew Roberts has taught me much more than just organic chemical synthesis. I have learned throughout this semester that the process of small molecule synthesis is challenging, but I think this is one of the most rewarding aspects. The difficulty has paid dividends in not only what I have been able to learn and also what I have been able to accomplish through the process. This opportunity is extremely valuable to me and my goals, my research to date has opened up new possibilities of chemical research and development that will carry far into the future. I am extremely grateful for this chance to pursue my goals of synthesizing this molecule to completion, and allowing me to take significant meaningful steps forward in chemical research.
