85 Research Reflection by Kishore Jay

Faculty Mentor: Karen Wilcox (Biomedical Engineering, University of Utah)

My future goal is to be able to make people’s lives better using the intersection of healthcare and technology as a tool, as a biomedical engineer. The Wilcox laboratory offered an internal lens into the process of drug development, synthesis, and evaluation that will be very valuable as I continue my education in the healthcare field. The data analysis and statistics techniques I have learned throughout this project expanded my quantitative reasoning skills which are integral to any engineer’s toolbox. Lastly, I have compiled studies and presented data both within the lab as well as other symposiums, and this experience in communication will prove beneficial as I further my career.
