Faculty Mentor: Melissa Watt (Anthropology, University of Utah)

I am a pre-dental student, pursuing a Bachelor’s in Anthropology. My coursework and health-related interests led me to Dr. Watt’s Global Health class, and subsequently, her research group. While my interests in public and global health are more oral-health focused, I believe it is important for every future healthcare professional to have experience and understanding in the public health field. I am extremely grateful for the research opportunities I have had throughout my undergraduate experience, and hope to continue to utilize my knowledge of public health as a healthcare provider in the future.
