56 Research Reflection by Daniel Yi

My undergraduate research experience for this paper was within the context of my HONOR 2211 writing course. I chose the topic of white collar crime because I felt that it related to both of my majors; political science and psychology. Additionally, I felt that it would be easily translatable for my Honors thesis. This was definitely the most research and literature intense paper that I’ve ever written. I felt that it was a good experience to have, learning how to research and find many different articles that pertain to my topic. This was also my first time writing a paper in APA style format. So, the paper overall was a big learning experience, from learning how to properly format my reference page, to using correct in-text citations, to figuring out how to appropriately integrate ten different research articles into one comprehensive overview. Ultimately, I am grateful for this experience I learned a lot about proper time management and organization in regards to a research paper of this size. I also feel much more familiar and comfortable with the research and corresponding analytical process itself as well as how to write in APA style.
