106 Research Reflection by Morgan McMartin

Morgan McMartin

Faculty Mentor: Jessica Ellis (Nursing, University of Utah)

My undergraduate research experience has been wonderful and has taught me so much regarding conducting research and writing about the research I have produced. It has given me a better understanding of the research process and how conclusions are drawn from research data. My research experience has allowed me to connect and collaborate with my faculty mentor, Jessica Ellis, who has given me extensive support and guidance through this process. In my future goals as a nurse, I aspire to work in the maternity field, and I feel that my research has given me a basis of knowledge regarding the practice of water birth and future areas of research I could pursue on this topic. In addition, my research experience has shown me how research can be conducted and implemented within the healthcare field and the role that nurses can play in research and implementing findings into bedside patient care.
