This novel technique I propose of rapid protein purification at a micro-scale will help researchers around the world salvage time and money on an otherwise lengthy purification process, leading to faster results and understanding of various new protein mechanisms and scientific findings. Through biochemistry work exposure, my ultimate goal is to study the biological chemistry and biophysics of proteins with the help of graduate school and future collaborators. Researching at the University of Utah helped build my scientific communication, writing, and critical thinking skills, ultimately reaching the public on unique purification methods that can give rise to radical scientific discoveries.
