Choosing a Citation Style
Check with your instructor to see if they have a preferred citation style. If you can choose your own citation style, you may want to choose the one for your major. Be sure to pick one and use it consistently. Don’t change back and forth between MLA and APA.
- MLA is frequently used in the humanities, including most English classes at UVU.
- APA is frequently used in the sciences, business, education, and social sciences.
