Evaluation Dialogue Between Doctor-Patient:
Doctor Buenos días. ¿En qué le puedo ayudar?
Patient I came to get my moles examined.
Doctor ¿Cuántos años tiene? ¿Se has revisado los lunares alguna vez anteriormente?
Patient I’m 38 years old and it’s the first time I’ve had them examined, but I came because there’s one on my back that seems to have grown.
Doctor ¿Se expone con mucha frecuenta al sol? ¿Utiliza fotoprotector? ¿En la infancia se quemó mucho?
Patient No, now I’m only in the sun when I’m exercising. I usually play golf in the summer, but it’s true that when I was a child I used to get sunburned every summer.
Doctor ¿Ha ido alguna vez a cabinas de radiacion UV artificial para ponerte mas moreno?
Patient Yes, one year I went 20 times.
Doctor ¿Tiene alguna enfermedad, toma algún tratamiento de forma habitual? ¿Es alérgico a algún medicamento?
Patient No, I don’t have any illnesses and I’m not being treated for anything, but I am allergic to Penicillin.
Doctor ¿Tiene antecedentes familiares cercanos de melanoma?
Patient Yes, my father and paternal uncle.
Doctor ¿Y otros tipos de cáncer?
Patient Yes, my paternal uncle also had pancreatic cancer.
Doctor Por favor, quítate toda la ropa excepto la interior y túmbate en la mesa.
Post-Examination Dialogue Between Doctor-Patient:
Doctor Tras la revisión, tiene muchos lunares, más de 100 en todo el cuerpo y en la espalda tiene uno de mayor tamaño que supongo que es el que le ha llamado la atencion. Es atipico y hay que extirparlo.
Patient Ah! But is it bad?
Doctor Al mirarlo con el dermatoscopio tiene diferentes colores es asimétrico y en una zona tiene signos de estar creciendo. Por tanto, es prudente quitarlo, analizarlo, mirarlo al microscopio y descartar que pueda ser un melanoma.
Patient OK. When should I come back?
Doctor Si le viene bien, lo haremos el lunes que viene en quirofano con anestesia local.
Patient OK. Thank you so much for everything.
