7 Communicating with Faculty
There are times when it will be necessary for you to communicate with faculty as you complete various tasks as an ID1. As you work with faculty, it is important that you are prepared in your interactions and that you are respectful and professional in all of your communications.
Here are some possible items that might come up while completing a quality review prep that you might need to communicate with faculty about:
- File remediation questions
- Copyright issues
- Broken links
- Files that are no longer in use
- Images that need alt text
After your initial communication it is also important to follow-up and ensure there is a clear plan for any action items that have been decided on.
Please remember that even though we do have our preferred way of doing things in Instructional Design and Assessment, ultimately, you are in service to the faculty and it is their course.
