33 Types of Course Development
IDA has used multiple names for course development build options. Currently there are two kinds of compensated course development builds:
- Dedicated ID Builds: An instructional designer is assigned to work with a faculty member individually to build the course.
- Consultation Builds: A faculty member develops the course on their own with certain requirements. In some situations, only part of a course may be built or redone for a smaller amount of compensation.
More information about course development options is posted on the OTL website: Course Development Options.
History
Previously, IDA had two course development builds:
- CFLC Builds: This course development option compensated faculty to develop courses on their own. CFLC Builds were used during COVID when there were a high number of courses being developed. CFLC Builds have been discontinued in favor of Consultation Builds.
- UFLC Builds: This is the old name for Dedicated ID Builds.
