10 Course Design Plan
Instructors who have a formal Course Development Agreement (Dedicated ID Builds and some Consultation Builds) must complete a Course Design Plan as part of their compensation.
Instructional Designers and Faculty use a Course Design Plan to design the course elements that will be developed in the Canvas course. The Course Design Plan is an Office 365 document that allows faculty and Instructional Designers to collaborate as they identify the topics/modules and alignments between CourseLeaf Outcomes.
Create Course Design Plan
- Here is an Example Course Design Plan
- Make a copy of the [MAKE A COPY] 2025 SPRING+_Course Design Plan template.
- Name it as follows: ENGL-1010_CDP_Smith_DEV252
- Place it in the appropriate folder in Course Design Plans.
Complete Course Design Plan
Once the summative and formative assessments are outlined, module titles/objectives defined and aligned, and RSIs included for each module:
- @mention Seth Gurell, IDA Director within the appropriate Monday.com course board telling him the Course Design Plan is complete and the faculty is ready for first payment.
- Include a link to the Course Design Plan from the SharePoint folder.
- Mark the “Course Design Plan” column in Monday.com as “Done.”
